Opening of the exhibition “Kakskümmend üks null kaks“ (twenty-one zero two)
Tam Galerii is opening an exhibition on 22.February of the art group Ruum 312A (Room 312A), exhibition is named “Kakskümmend üks null kaks“ (twenty-one zero two).
Renowned artists Jaan Elken, Urve Küttner, Leonhard Lapin, Tiiu Pallo-Vaik, Mari Roosvalt, Viivi Aavik and Hannes Starkopf, who are using different artistic means of expression, exhibit their paintings, graphics, sculptures and object art
The art group Ruum 312A, which has been organising exhibitions for many years now, got its name from the office where the professors of general art subjects used to assemble. Now, after the Estonian Academy of Arts has been demolished, the group exists in the virtual room. The first joint performance took place in 1997 in the Museum of New Art in Pärnu.
In addition to belonging to the same generation, the artists are united by an actively experimenting relation upon finding the right relationship with different looking art manifestations. Tolerance and preparedness to change – a pair of words that characterises the present art education especially well – would be as fitting to describe the group’s creative credo as well.
