12th of December 2011 – 8th of January 2012 in Tam Gallery
Tam Gallery is proud to present the sixt personal exibition of an Estonian artist Ivi Arrak, who paints sensitive and harmonic compositions with rich acrylic colors. She has been acknowledged for her good cognition of colours and her sencibility of aestetic forms.
The author shows her latest works, where she creates everlasting relations between the things around us. In her paintings we can often see sceneries gleaming - sometimes realistic and in other cases adumbirative. Harmony and brightness varies with great contrasts creating a mystical and poetic world.
An artis and a psycologist Ivi Arrak started painting when she was 18 years old. She was first thaught by her husband Jüri Arrak, who is also a well-known artist in Estonia. Together they have had several successful exibitions in Estonia and aslo abroad. Ivi Arrak’s wish to express herself through colors was mainly inspired by the discussions she had with her husband about arts on the whole and by being among arts all the time. In addition to the knowledge gained from her husband, she has also studied drawing on the courses done by an artist Jarõna Ilo.
